Meet an “AMAZING!” whose valor under fire was finally well rewarded!

LARRY L. TAYLOR, at 81, was finally awarded the Medal of Honor, a well-deserved honor, after his 2,000 combat missions flying UH-1 and Cobra helicopters. Larry was forced down five times and engaged by enemy fire some 340 times during his time in Vietnam. Among his 50+ combat decorations are 43 Air Medals, a Bronze Star and two Distinguished Flying Crosses. But the Medal of Honor, awarded this year, is truly the icing on the cake. According to the White House news release: “Taylor’s conspicuous gallantry, his profound concern for his fellow soldiers, and his intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty are in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself, his unit and the United States Army.” That says it all!
