I had a wonderful conversation with Karen Chong on Mind Blend about something we rarely talk about enough:
Most people think aging is about decline. But in my experience — both as a psychologist and in life — the people who stay vibrant are the ones who stay engaged with life.
At 70, I discovered ballroom dancing. Today at 78, I compete internationally. Not because I’m chasing fame or trying to “stay young,” but because it genuinely lights me up.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is this: Passion gives us energy. Purpose gives that energy direction. And positivity helps us keep moving forward.
As I shared in the conversation: “It doesn’t matter what the passion is. What matters is that it matters to you.”
Thank you @Karen Chong for such a thoughtful conversation.
