Minnie Payne, at 90, graduated with a Master’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from the University of North Texas. Her love of writing is what allowed her to navigate both in-person and online courses through the pandemic and beyond, with lots of late-night studying. Minnie’s grandson, Payne Billings, proudly took her arm as she crossed the stage to receive her degree. In addition to raising her family, Minnie worked over the years as a court reporter, later as a copy editor and writer for a California magazine, and has accepted a job at Houston Style Magazine. Minnie loves to write and loves to work, so she just keeps on ‘keeping on.’ Wonderful!
