Gary Player, at 88, alongside his fellow golf icons, Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson, was an Honorary Starter at Augusta National for the 88th Masters. Gary has won the tournament 3 times in his career. Besides his many other championship wins, Gary won golf’s Grand Slam at age 29—the youngest golfer at the time ever to achieve this distinction. Gary played his first round of golf at age 14 and announced at 16 that he would become the number one golfer in the world. At 17, Gary turned pro and has been golfing with passion and zeal ever since. Hurrah!
